Free entry

The Coastal Front 1977 - Warsaw Pact attack plan: Saturday 24 October 2026, 10:00–10:30, Fredensborg Bibliotek, Fredensborg. Admission is free.

In 1977, the Polish general staff completed its most comprehensive plan to date for an attack deep into northwestern Europe, including Denmark. The plan was never implemented, but new research now makes it possible to provide a detailed picture of how it would have affected Danish society if it had been carried out.

Senior researcher Stig Roar Svenningsen will give a lecture on the Warsaw Pact's attack plans and discuss the consequences that implementation would have had for Denmark and the area around Fredensborg. The lecture is arranged in collaboration with the Royal Library.

The lecture is free but requires a ticket. Tickets for the lecture and day passes for the Emergency Preparedness Day can be obtained here:
