Free Yourself! - therapeutic evening: Thursday 29 October 2026, 18:00–19:30, Espergærde Teater Hus, Espergærde. Tickets cost 150 kr.

Thursday, October 29, 6:00 PM-7:30 PM, Espergærde Teaterhus hosts an evening about grief of waiting, attachment trauma, and healing. The event takes place at Gammel Strandvej 217B, 3060 Espergærde. Admission is 150 kr. per person plus Billetto fee, with a maximum of 25 participants.

What happens to a person when the relationships that should have provided security become conditional on whether you stay or leave? Leaving or being expelled from a religious or controlling community can leave deep relational scars. Many carry attachment trauma, loss of identity, and a grief of waiting-mourning people who are still alive but no longer part of your life.

Psychotherapists Anne Rosendal and John Angajoq invite you to an open conversation about these scars, drawing on both professional knowledge and personal experience. The discussion will cover relational and attachment trauma, grief of waiting and loss of close relationships, guilt, shame and identity, the nervous system's response to social exclusion, and the path toward greater freedom, security, and healing. There will be ongoing space for questions and dialogue with participants.

The evening concludes with a drum journey, where John Angajoq, drawing on his Greenlandic background, creates a meditative closing-a space for reflection and calm after an evening about loss, hope, and healing.

Anne Rosendal is a psychotherapist and mindfulness coach with many years of experience working with trauma, grief, and relational rupture. John Angajoq is a psychotherapist and spiritual guide with a background in both Western psychotherapy and Greenlandic shamanic tradition; he himself left Jehovah's Witnesses and has worked on rebuilding identity, relationships, and life foundation afterward.

One third of ticket proceeds go to Espergærde Amatør Teater, which provides the venue for this autumn evening. Contact: anner@anner-terapi.dk, www.anner-terapi.dk, info@angajoq.com, www.angajoq.com
