Film Screening: Japanese Prize Winner

Takumi and his daughter Hana live quietly in harmony with nature near the small town of Mizubiki - until representatives from a major company arrive with plans for a luxury camping resort.

It quickly becomes clear that the project will threaten the local ecosystem. A sense of unease spreads, and strangely, it extends into the smallest cells and crystals themselves.

The film is from 2023 and directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. It won the Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for the Golden Lion.
