Amateur Culture Day 2026

Amateur Culture Day 2026: Saturday 7 November 2026, 10:30–15:30, Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus. Admission is free.

Aarhus is home to many associations where people gather to play music, sing, dance, or perform theatre. Many of them are part of the Council for Amateur Culture in Aarhus Municipality.

For the fifth time, the Council is collaborating with DOKK1 to host Amateur Culture Day. Orchestras, choirs, and dance groups showcase what they work with - each association performs for around half an hour, giving you plenty of opportunity throughout the day to experience many aspects of amateur cultural life.

Performances take place in several locations within the open library area. There is no entrance fee or registration required - just show up. The final programme will be announced later.

Venues: DOKK1's Main Hall, Small Hall, The View, and Children's Stage Stairs.
