Danmarks Underholdningsorkester Celebrates Kim Larsen

Danmarks Underholdningsorkester celebrates Kim Larsen on Wednesday, 10 February 2027 at 19:30 in Musikhuset Aarhus, Thomas Jensens Allé 2. Four soloists share the stage: Caroline Henderson, Mathias Ranch, D-A-D frontman Jesper Binzer, and Dopha. The programme spans from his debut album Værsgo (1973) through Midt Om Natten and Forklædt Som Voksen to songs from the Kjukken years.

Caroline Henderson says about the evening: "I look forward to, together with Danmarks Underholdningsorkester, interpreting songs by Kim Larsen. He was one of Denmark's greatest songwriters and personalities, whose words and melodies have left a deep and lasting mark on our shared musical heritage. It will be a great honour to offer my take on his songs."

Mathias Ranch adds: "Whether you sing along to his songs around a campfire, with friends at morning singing in the country's folk schools or in a bar in town at a smoky pub, Kim Larsen's voice and songs are an eternal folk spirit we gather around. He was the greatest. And I think that's because he made us see ourselves and each other in the music he gave us - young and old alike. It's an enormous gift we will always carry with us - and one we can only humbly thank him for."

The concert lasts approximately 1.5 hours and features group singing. Tickets cost 550 kr. (regular price 640 kr.) - maximum 4 tickets per person.
