Lystrup Then and Now - local history: Monday 19 October 2026, 19:00–21:00, Lystrup Bibliotek, Lystrup. Admission is free.

Lystrup is a town in constant development, and it's worth pausing occasionally to look back at how the town looked in the past. Marianne Vasard from the Local Archive tells the story of 8520 Lystrup - from the Stone Age boat in the bog to today's suburb with 2 churches, 2 schools, library, several shopping centres, community house, parish office, sports centre, and the companies Terma & Ørsted.

She also covers the old farms in the villages of Elsted and Lystrup, as well as the development of democracy under the parish council and the later Elsted municipality.

The lecture is held in collaboration with the Local History Collection, and the library provides coffee and chocolate.

Entry is free, but as the number of seats is limited, you must book a ticket.
