Morning Bread, Community Singing and Emergency Preparedness: Tuesday 27 October 2026, 09:00–12:00, Kerteminde Bibliotek, Kerteminde.

Opening programme:

At 9 am, morning bread is served to the first 300 guests or until 10:30, whichever comes first. At 9:30, Mayor Michael Nielsen gives an opening speech, and from 10-10:30 there is community singing with Friends of Kerteminde Library and Kerteminde Music and Culture School.

From 9 am to 12 pm, there are information stands where you can meet various emergency preparedness actors. Kerteminde Municipality's emergency management team explains the municipality's emergency plan and what you should know in case of crisis. Parks and Roads provides insight into responsibility distribution during flooding - what the municipality handles and what you as a private property owner must manage yourself; this includes a presentation on storm surge in the municipality from 10-10:30.

Folk & Sikkerhed, a non-partisan public information organisation on defence, emergency preparedness and security policy since 1975, provides information on drinking water and preparedness. The Emergency Preparedness Association holds the mini-course "Do you have your home emergency kit in order?" at 11-11:10 and again at 12-12:10. The Heart Association talks about cardiac arrest and resuscitation, and you can practise chest compressions on a dummy with a heart rescue instructor - or participate in a heart rescue course (registration required) from 11-11:45.
