Skumringstime - Nordic Literature Week: Monday 9 November 2026, 19:00–21:30, Ringsted Bibliotek, Ringsted. Tickets cost 100 kroner per person.

Skumringstime marks the opening of Nordic Literature Week, this year with the theme of Nordic democracy.

At the event, passages from the Swedish novel "De vil drukne i deres mødres tårer" (They Will Drown in Their Mothers' Tears) by Johannes Anyuru will be read aloud - a speculative novel about how a democratic society like Sweden could develop if its democratic values are not protected. Librarian Morten Halskov Jensen will read the passages.

Afterwards, there will be coffee, cake, and music with singer and musician Linnea Villen, who performs both Swedish and Danish music. The programme includes Lisa Ekdahl and Swedish folk songs, as well as Danish songs such as "Nu er dagen fuld af sang" and "Jeg ved en lærkerede".

Tickets cost 100 kroner per person and include music, coffee, cake, beer, and soft drinks. Registration with Rita Bacher at rita.bacher@gmail.com by Monday, 2 November. The event is a collaboration between Foreningen Norden and Nordic Literature Week.
