Into the Machine Room of Crisis: Saturday 24 October 2026, 12:00–13:00, Støvring Bibliotek, Støvring. Admission is free.

Mads Koch Hansen, former hospital director at Sygehus Lillebælt and known from the DR programme "Crisis Exercise: Hybrid Attack on Denmark", visits Støvring Library for a conversation about crisis management.

He is interviewed by DR journalist Maja Flinthøj, who has covered defence, emergency preparedness and societal crises for several years. Drawing on personal accounts and concrete experiences, Mads Koch Hansen shares what it is like to be in the midst of some of the crises that have shaped Denmark. The conversation touches on the dilemmas that arise when crisis strikes, how decisions are made with limited time and incomplete information, and what you do when there is no manual to follow.

The aim is to provide insight into what happens behind the scenes when society comes under pressure, and how those in charge attempt to gain clarity and make the right decisions.

The event is free but requires registration, and is part of "Together on Preparedness".
