OpenDays Festival: Cikada String Quartet

Cikada String Quartet at OpenDays: Saturday 31 October 2026, 16:00–18:00, Nørresundby Gl. Rådhus, Nørresundby. Tickets cost 75–150 kr.

Waves up North invites you to the 17th edition of OpenDays Festival, a 3-day festival for new composition and sound art. The programme features Cikada String Quartet from Norway: Karin Hellqvist and Guro Asheim on violin, Bendik Foss on viola, and Ingvild Nesdal Sandnes on cello.

The quartet performs Øyvind Torvund's "Five Pieces for String Quartet" (2025), Kristine Tjøgersen's "Habitat II" (2023), and Jan Martin Smørdal's "Reverse Alarm Variations for String Quartet & Speakers" (2018). Programme subject to change.

Ticket prices: 150 kr. for single entry, 300 kr. festival pass for all three days. Students pay 75 kr. (festival pass 150 kr.), while those under 18 and members have free admission. Tickets and passes are sold via Billetto and at the door.
