OpenDays Festival: Vor Frue Kirkes Pigekor, Aalborg

OpenDays Festival: Vor Frue Kirkes Pigekor: Sunday 1 November 2026, 17:00–18:00, Nørresundby Gl. Rådhus, Nørresundby. Tickets cost 75–250 kr.

Waves up North invites you to OpenDays Festival, held for the 17th time this year. Over three days, the focus is on new composition music and sound art - with space for boundary-pushing and the latest within the genre.

The festival's closing concert features Fruens Piger, Vor Frue Kirkes Pigekor from Aalborg, conducted by Dorthe Græsborg Bruun with Peter Schüsler at the piano. The programme includes works by Phillip Faber, Michael Bojesen, Victor Johnson and Dy Plambeck, as well as a world premiere of Stine Benjaminen's "Som Fnug" (2026), commissioned by Fruens Piger and Waves up North with support from Waves up North and KODA Kultur. Other pieces include "Fadervor" by Dorthe Græsborg Bruun, "Også til næste år", "Moonglow" and "Father of heaven". Programme changes may occur.

Tickets for the concert cost 150 kr., while a festival pass for the entire festival costs 250 kr. Students pay 75 kr. (festival pass 125 kr.), and children under 18 as well as members have free entry. Tickets and passes are sold via Billetto and can as always be purchased at the entrance. The full festival programme can be found on the Facebook event or at www.wavesupnorth.dk.
