OpenDays Festival: Open Night - line-up: Saturday 31 October 2026, 19:30–20:30, Nørresundby Gl. Rådhus, Nørresundby. Tickets cost 75–250 kr.

Waves up North invites you to OpenDays Festival - a 3-day festival for new composition and sound art, held for the 17th time this year. The festival brings together works that push boundaries and challenge convention.

This evening, Open Night, is curated by local musicians. The programme features Eirik Moland's "Overblikk" (2019) for flute with Ida Marie Sørmo as soloist, Ivan Olsen's "Friktion for klaver solo" (2024) performed by Maria Eshpai, Martin Knakkergaard's "En passant d'entrainement pour saxophone soprano et alto" (2022) in five movements with Pia Munch on saxophone, and Louis Franz Aguirre's "Noviembre" for voice and piano (1998) with Diana Haugland (mezzo-soprano) and Arne Jørgen Fæø (piano). Programme subject to change.

Ticket price is 150 kr., or 250 kr. for a festival pass covering all three days. Students pay 75 kr. (festival pass 125 kr.), while those under 18 and members have free entry. Tickets and passes can also be purchased at the door as usual.

The full festival programme is available on the Facebook event or at www.wavesupnorth.dk. OpenDays Festival is a project of Waves up North, an international forum for new music and sound art based in Aalborg, and is supported by A. P. Møller Foundation, Augustinus Foundation, the Danish Arts Foundation, and Aalborg Municipality.
