The State of Democracy: The State of Democracy
Hovedbiblioteket i Aalborg, Aalborg · 100 kr. · ≈ 13 €
Over the past 25 years, Danish society has changed dramatically: inequality has grown, digital development has transformed the media, the pace of politics has accelerated, and international currents increasingly influence domestic democracy. This calls for a review.
Professor Anne Skorkjær Binderkrantz delivers the lecture based on her book "Politics for Professionals", in which she examines how Danish politics has become more professionalized - and what it means for democracy. Professional actors can make politics more knowledge-based and efficient, but what happens when political influence increasingly requires money, networks, and specialized knowledge?
The lecture is part of the Power Study 2.0, whose results are published in a book series of the same name by Aarhus University Press and presented in the podcast "The Hunt for Power".
Venue: Glashjørnet
