The State of Democracy: The Importance of Civic Associations for Democracy

Over the past 25 years, Danish society has changed dramatically: inequality has grown, media has become digitalized, political pace has accelerated, and international currents influence everyday life at home. This calls for a thorough examination of the conditions for democracy.

Professor Lars Skov Henriksen gives a lecture on the democratic role of civic associations and why membership matters for citizenship.
