Come to the Children's Own Book Prize Festival

The Reading Club invites all children aged 9-12 who voted for the Orla Prize 2026 to attend the prize ceremony at Hovedbiblioteket. There will be snacks, quizzes and book recommendations throughout the event.

Registration deadline: Sunday, November 15.

The Orla Prize highlights new Danish children's literature and lets children decide the winner themselves. The nominated books must have been published within the last two years and be aimed at children aged 9-12 - publishers submit their latest titles, and children from across the country participate in nominating and voting. The prize has been awarded annually since 2005 and is run today in collaboration between Aarhus Libraries and eReolen GO, with support from the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces and the Danish Booksellers Association.
