Film Screening: "The Librarians"

In 2021, the so-called Krause list in Texas - containing 850 titles on race and LGBTQIA+ issues - sparked a wave of book bans that has since spread across the United States. The documentary "The Librarians" follows librarians who refuse to back down, and who continue the fight for free access to knowledge and the right to read despite harassment, threats, and legislation targeting their work.

The screening takes place as part of Dansk PEN's nationwide campaign #ForbiddenBooks, running from October 5 to 12, 2026.
