Hatteteater - Theatre Sports with Children!

Hatteteater is a professional improvisation show where hats, children and stories meet - surprising, poetic and imaginative, sometimes a bit eerie, but always fun.

Twenty different hats hang on stage. Children from the audience are invited up, each choose a hat and a corresponding role, and from there the storyteller improvises theatre pieces based on those roles. As the show progresses, new children and new roles continuously blend into the stories, and the audience is part of it all the way.

The show is aimed at children between 3 and 10 years old, but siblings, parents and others with a love of theatre are equally welcome. The event is part of Mariager Folkemøde 2026: Europe in Change.

Free admission - but remember to book tickets for both children and adults due to limited seating.
