At Shared Reading at Børkop Library, the librarian reads a short story and a poem or essay aloud. All participants receive a copy of the texts and can choose whether to listen or read along. There are pauses throughout for discussion of what has been read - no prior knowledge is required, and there is no homework.

The group meets 6 times in autumn 2026. The other dates are 14 September, 28 September, 26 October, 9 November and 23 November.

About the venue: Børkop Bibliotek

Børkop Bibliotek sits beside the river as part of the cultural centre MarKant, and belongs to Vejle Bibliotekerne. It lends books, films and music, and provides access to newspapers, periodicals and the internet. Beyond the standard collection, the library hosts talks, events and children's theatre, while the wider cultural centre also houses the local history archive and the amateur theatre group Trekantens Amatør Scene. Registered borrowers can let themselves in outside staffed hours using their health card and PIN.
