Debutant Prize 2026 — Vejle Bibliotek - Spinderiet, Vejle
Free entry

The award ceremony for the Bodil and Jørgen Munch-Christensen Debut Prize presents this year's two winners. Both will read from their debut works, and the jury will present its reasoning. The event is held at Vejle Art Museum and opened by Dan Arnløv, chair of the Culture and Sports Committee, and library director Mette Strømgaard Dalby.

This year's special guest is author and former prize winner Maria Hesselager, who received the prize in 2021 for the historical novel "I am called Folkví". She is currently active with the novel "In My House" about three women connected to the same man - nominated for the DR Novel Prize 2027.

The jury consists of literature professor Anne-Marie Mai, literary critic Lars Bukdahl, high school teacher Rasmus Storm, librarians Else Zakarias and Joan Høeg from Vejle Libraries, and board member Marie Mygind Bojsen. Each of the two winners receives 50,000 kr.

Free admission.
