Batidas International Street Theatre Festival: Splash!

Can you take synchronized swimming seriously in an inflatable pool just one meter deep? Two performers from the French duo SuperSuper think so. Dressed in blue training suits and swimming caps, they work methodically: water temperature is measured, the body is warmed up, and every movement is executed with precision. But gradually small mistakes creep in, and the well-organized swimming session turns into a series of absurd situations.

Splash is a wordless performance where clown art, physical theatre, and synchronized swimming meet in a play with expectations and reality. The small pool becomes the setting for collaboration, ambitions, and all the unpredictability that arises when things don't go according to plan. The performance is for all ages.
