Debut Fest: The Deformation of Dinnertime
Kildevæld Kulturcenter, Copenhagen · Free
A dinner table wrapped entirely in plastic is the focal point of Linnea Pilegaard's installation The Deformation of Dinnertime. The wrapping functions as a concrete metaphor: the growing distance between people when self-presentation and individual self-realization displace physical togetherness - and the home-cooked meal drops down the priority list.
The work questions what presence actually means in Western everyday life, and whether there is room enough for close relationships. Pilegaard works conceptually at the intersection of installation, object art, and visual storytelling, drawing on recognizable everyday objects and sensory materials.
