Debut Fest: Village of Lost Souls

Village of Lost Souls is a handmade miniature world built from cardboard and recycled materials, constructed around stories about feelings and states of mind that many recognize but few speak openly about. It began with a few small houses and gradually grew into a universe with its own places, characters, and narratives - including the Keeper in his tower at the city's edge, from where he tries to make sense of a world that rarely stands still.

Many of the houses are built from things others have discarded. This is a deliberate part of the project: the idea that something worn, crooked, or overlooked can still hold value and deserve a place.

Behind the project stands Lene Høhl Quebec, who works with an analog and tactile DIY process where worldbuilding, storytelling, and visual experiments meet. Curiosity about structures and balance - and an eye for the overlooked, the fragile, and the imperfect - drives the work.
