As a child, Nikolaj Jacobsen heard countless times about Denmark's World Championship silver medal in 1967. His own active playing career ended abruptly due to injuries - without any World Championship medals. Coaching became his path forward instead, and it has borne fruit: four World Championship gold medals and one European Championship gold make him one of the most decorated coaches in handball history, both at home and internationally.

In the lecture, the national team coach delves into the human methods he uses to push players beyond their own expectations. He shares how he has repeatedly chosen unconventional solutions, and what it concretely takes to get a group of individualists to function as a unified team - illustrated with anecdotes from his career.
