Preben Elkjær played 69 A-matches for Denmark and scored 38 goals in the red and white shirt. In the mid-1980s, he was considered the world's best striker, and in 1984 he received the award for Danish Footballer of the Year.

In the lecture "My Life as Elkjær", he reviews the 1980s national team's breakthrough and golden era - but also speaks openly about the pressure, expectations, and ups and downs. The lecture is based on the book of the same name from November 2012 and is filled with anecdotes and video clips from his career.
