With his fourth one-man show, LatterLIG - subtitled "humor will rise again" - Torben Chris takes aim at what he sees as the self-importance and political correctness of our time. In his own words, the show is not for the faint-hearted.

According to Torben Chris, the past 8-10 years have been tough for a comedian with his approach. He believes political correctness has suffocated comedy and people have forgotten what humor is for. He has faced social media shitstorms more than once - but as he says himself, he doesn't give a damn.

He illustrates his point with an example: a joke about women perhaps buying slightly more candles than men on average was once enough to be branded "a sexist asshole with a stereotypical view of women". It's these kinds of absurdities that the show tackles.

Torben Chris now believes the tide is turning. And if the audience disagrees - well, he doesn't care about that either.
