About the venue: Poolen

Poolen is a warehouse venue in a former B&W shipyard hall on Refshaleøen, wedged between an old dry dock and a scrapyard - hence the name. The hall, which previously housed the venue Stagebox, holds up to 2,500 standing guests and is run by the team behind Pumpehuset and Byhaven. The programme covers concerts, raves, parties and events, with professional sound and lighting and an 8×4.5 m LED screen.

The man behind Sub Focus is Guildford-born Nicolaas Douwma, one of the most seasoned figures in British drum and bass with more than two decades of hits on RAM Records. From "X-Ray" in 2005 to the 2025 album Contact, he has consistently pushed his sound forward without losing the dancefloor.
