Documentary Film "The Deception in Helmand" with Introduction by Director Nagieb Khaja

Documentarian and journalist Nagieb Khaja and Martin Tamm Andersen - documentarist, podcast host and former soldier - travelled to Musa Qala in Helmand Province to make 'The Deception in Helmand' (2023), produced for DR and BBC. The film exposes Denmark and NATO's brutal and corrupt partnership with the Afghan police.

Nagieb Khaja has covered conflicts in Afghanistan, Syria and Israel-Palestine for over 20 years and is among the few journalists in the world to have gained access to leaders of jihadist groups such as Al-Qaeda and Taliban. He has made a series of documentaries about conflicts in the Middle East and written several books, including 'The Story That Is Not Told - About the War in Afghanistan'.

The evening begins with a screening of the film (1 hour and 20 minutes), followed by a short break with tea and coffee. Afterwards, Nagieb Khaja will give a presentation about the work behind the film and why the war in Afghanistan could never be won - followed by a discussion with the audience.
