August Høyen — K.B. Hallen, Frederiksberg

On Saturday, November 28, 2026, August Høyen plays his career's biggest concert at K.B. Hallen in Frederiksberg.

Høyen debuted with the EP 'Det Hele Handler Om Dig' in 2023, was named P3's Uundgåelige, and followed up with the album 'August' in August 2024 - produced with T&O and Laurits Smedegaard Andersen featuring a team of instrumentalists instead of programmed sounds. Since then he has performed at Roskilde Festival, Heartland, and NorthSide, and played sold-out shows at Store VEGA and Det Kongelige Teater. His latest singles 'Verona' and 'Gav Det Et Skud' have received significant radio rotation.

K.B. Hallen is not just a random venue choice. Høyen spent much of his childhood there - his mother worked at the youth centre Multi Idræt, and he himself returned as a youth worker at the same place. He says about the choice: "K.B. is one of the most important places in my life. A place that has held and embraced me when I struggled to navigate life. A place where I could be myself and was accepted for who I am. I am eternally grateful for that. And that's why I'm incredibly excited for my band and me to play at K.B. Hallen."

Musically, Høyen has drawn inspiration from country tradition's honesty - from Mississippi John Hurt to Alison Krauss - and blended it with his own soul sensibilities, which first came to expression in the song 'Forsvinder'.
