Sydhavn Literature Festival takes place on 6 September with readings, concerts, spoken-word performances and creative writing workshops for children - all in and around Karens Minde.

On stage, literary voices and musicians meet: Troels Abrahamsen with Spøgelsesmaskinen, Gry Stokkendahl Dalgas & Blue Lake, Rasmus Daugbjerg & Yngel, Marianne Iben Hansen, Josefine Weber Hansen, DIGTERBANDET, Lars Skinnebach and Tea Bendix.

The festival is free and open to everyone. There will be rap versions of children's books, and food can be brought along or purchased at Café Karen.

About the venue: Sydhavnens Bibliotek

Sydhavnens Bibliotek is housed in Karens Minde Kulturhus on Wagnersvej, set in a park with animals and old trees. The collection covers books, audiobooks and digital media, and a recently added conservatory is fitted out for children and families. Year-round events include concerts, talks and communal dinners, with poetry readings at Sydhavnens Litteraturfestival and children's theatre in summer.
