The Reason of Judgment

We all use judgment in everyday life - but what actually characterizes good judgment? You can make poor decisions despite great knowledge, and conversely make good decisions based on very little information.

The lecture examines how reason and emotion meet in good judgment - as expressed, for example, in political leadership. The theory spans from Aristotle to Hans-Georg Gadamer, and along the way includes examples from politics, legal decisions, literature, and everyday life.

The lecturer is Henrik Stampe Lund, M.A. and Ph.D. in literary studies and senior consultant at the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen. There is an opportunity to eat or buy refreshments at Trekanten's Cafe.
