ForUnderlige fugle: Meet the Artist

Behind the book and exhibition ForUnderlige fugle stands Marie Falkenberg Mortensen - papermaker, visual artist, author and trained textile designer from the Danish Design School. The exhibition is on display at the library from 26 August to 21 September.

At this event, she takes visitors into the universe behind the birds - peculiar creatures that inhabit the Kanalen Quarter in Albertslund in their daily lives.

Among them you'll find the Masked-Eyed Shy Bladder-Thief Bird, deeply in love with its own bladder-thief, and the Big-Jawed Pepper Bird, fighting for clean drinking water and a cleaner sea. And of course there is the Slightly-Stinging Book Raven - the editor of the great book about the ForUnderlige fugle.
