Morgengry - Reading Aloud for Children

Every year in week 46, libraries, schools and institutions across the Nordic region and the Baltics turn off the electric lights and light candles - then they read aloud. This is the heart of Nordic Literature Week, where thousands of children across borders listen to the same book at the same time. Which book it is remains a secret until the day, but the author always comes from one of the Nordic countries.

At Esbjerg Main Library, the event is aimed at children aged 5 to 8. Nordic Literature Week returns every year with the goal of promoting Nordic literature and fostering a love of reading in the youngest.
