FRB SONGWRITER

FRB SONGWRITER is a concert series at Metronomen that showcases the songwriter scene in Frederiksberg and Copenhagen. One evening brings together four artists with distinctly different musical styles - connected by personal stories and original songs. The evening is hosted by songwriter Bo Bech Arvin, who introduces the artists and creates connections between the songs and their narratives.

Kristian Gaarskjær previously released music under the name Select Captain - with albums, radio plays, and tours in Denmark and abroad, including as support for George Ezra, Ed Harcourt, Jonny Lang, The Lone Bellow, and Seafret. He now releases music in Danish under his own name. His songs balance between the lyrical and the grounded, rooted in Nordic songwriting tradition.

Amanda Vørts moves in the intersection of indie, alternative rock, and Danish-language pop. Her lyrics explore identity, relationships, and life's big questions. She is the frontperson of the band VØRTS, which is currently recording their debut single, coming out later this year.

Kalle Mikkelsen belongs to a new generation of Danish singer-songwriters. With a warm voice and assured guitar playing, he conveys songs about hope, doubt, love, and the moments that shape us - characterized by a calm that allows for reflection.

Philip Dominique has always used pen and paper when life demanded extra thought. This has resulted in poems and lyrics that have found their way to guitar and developed into personal songs with poetic language, deep melancholy, and uplifting reflections on life's many facets.
