Weekend Workshop: Colors and Nature

Join a three-day art workshop exploring the colors of nature through hands-on experimentation. Based at Atelieret i Ørding on Mors, this course invites adults to investigate how plants create color, work with natural dyes on textiles, and develop drawing and painting skills.

The workshop runs from 10:00 to 16:00 each day (May 8-10, 2026), with the option to continue working at the studio until 22:00 on the first two days. Small groups of maximum 6 participants ensure personalized attention and space for individual creative processes.

Activities include creating natural inks and pigments from local plants, experimenting with plant dyes on cotton, linen, silk, and viscose using traditional shibori and tie-dye techniques, and sun-dyeing yarns. Each day begins with warm-up exercises in drawing and painting using charcoal, chalk, and the colors you've made. No prior experience necessary.
