IPP2 Sea Kayaking Course

The South Funen archipelago offers some of Denmark's most beautiful maritime nature. There is always a sheltered spot where you can paddle your first strokes without being knocked over by wind and waves. Lifeplan Kajak & Friluftsliv guides you through all aspects of sea kayaking during this weekend course, so you can safely navigate the coasts in the summer months ahead. It's never too late to learn something new.

What is included?
16 hours of kayaking instruction from Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon - 8:00 to 16:00 both days. Thorough, personalized training and feedback from a certified instructor. Equipment rental for the course - sea kayak, paddle, vest, spray skirt, float, and pump. Damage-prevention paddling and kayak maneuvering. Quick and effective buddy and self-rescue. Theory on safety, equipment, tour planning, and risk assessment regarding wind, current, and weather.

What to bring
Neoprene long johns, neoprene shoes or boots, paddling jacket, change of clothes, hat and sunscreen, snacks/packed lunch, drinks, warm coffee or tea.

Minimum age: 15 years. The course runs over two days, 8:00 - 16:00 on both Saturday and Sunday, with a lunch break. The day you book is the start date, but the course continues the following day.
