Paper Cutting Workshop

Behind this workshop is paper artist Torben Jarlstrøm Clausen, who works with recycled materials as his artistic foundation. His project "Recycled People" began when he found a box of discarded wrapping paper after Christmas - paper destined for the incinerator. With scissors and the rescued paper, he cut out an entire population, and now he invites participants to do the same.

Torben has taught paper cutting in both Denmark and Japan. This workshop focuses on creating figures from materials that would otherwise be thrown away - new faces for the Recycled People collection. Learn more about his work at www.jarlstroempaperart.dk

The workshop takes place on the 2nd floor in the café area and is arranged by Torben Jarlstrøm Clausen, Odense Libraries, and the H.C. Andersen Festival. All ages are welcome. Entry is free, but advance booking is required - if you need to cancel, email mail@hcafestivals.dk so your spot can be given to someone else.
