Johnny - Voices of the Street

Johnny originally comes from Brabrand in Aarhus but now lives in Odense. On his journey through the city, he unfolds memories from Brabrand - the scents of childhood, the rough experiences and the good ones - and tells the story of a life that for 42 years has moved on the edge of society.

The tour touches on heavy subjects: the murder of one of his friends, assaults, drugs, and a nomadic life. From childhood, Johnny felt like the forgotten child, brought into the world to save a marriage, and has since carried anger and pain from never feeling loved by his mother. As a young man he was sent out to sail with Tvind - an attempt to set him on the right course - but drug use escalated instead.

Today he has come through to the other side and shares his story to give others a perspective on society's shadow side.
