FANCY LEE + BEURRENOIR

Studenterhuset presents two bands on stage: Fancy Lee and BeurreNoiR.

Fancy Lee plays swamp rock rooted in Louisiana's heat - energetic concerts with gender and social critique, bluesy riffs and grooves. The lyrics draw on psychedelic tales of voodoo witches and swamp folk, women without men, New Orleans brothels in back alleys and deals with the underworld.

BeurreNoiR consists of experienced musicians from the Danish rock scene, including members with a background in D-A-D. The band features Jay H. Zamroud (guitar/vocals), Mikael Olesen (bass) and Peter Lundholm Jensen (drums). Their sound moves between dark noise rock and melodic intensity, with explosive noise, screaming solos and melancholy served with a devil-may-care attitude. The band has played in both Denmark and abroad and is continuously working on new material.
