RAKU - Make Your Own Cup or Bowl

Atelieret i Ørding hosts an outdoor RAKU event on Sunday, September 20. You arrive, decorate, and fire your own ceramic cup or bowl - participating in the entire process from glazing to finished piece.

The cup or bowl is pre-thrown and pre-fired, ready for glazing when you arrive. Else guides you through decoration, after which the piece is fired in the raku kiln. Following firing and cooling, it is cleaned of soot and slag. Juice, tea, and coffee are served.

Price is 225 kr. per ticket (= 1 cup). Extra cups can be purchased for 175 kr. each. The event is for participants from age 6 - younger children need adult assistance. Maximum 20 participants.
