Open House Day 2026 at Musikefterskolen i Humble

Musikefterskolen i Humble opens its doors on Sunday, 27 September 2026, 12-18, for Open House Day. The event is for anyone considering a year at a folk high school with music at its core.

Every full hour - at 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 - a new visit programme begins with a mini-concert featuring the school's choir and ensemble classes. Headmaster Jonas Hald then welcomes visitors and explains what a stay at the school involves. This is followed by a guided tour led by the school's own students, and finally there is an opportunity to speak with a teacher about music programmes, academic content, daily life and more. A complete visit takes approximately 1.5 hours.

Admission interviews are not mandatory, but they are a requirement for being accepted as a student - so it may be a good idea to book a time while you are visiting. Interviews can be booked in advance via Billetto (click "Find tickets" at the top of the page). Note: book only 1 ticket per family. If you have just a few questions, advance booking is not necessary, but is recommended to avoid waiting. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your booked time.

The organic kitchen serves hot meals 12-14; for the rest of the day there is coffee, cake and fruit. Teachers are present in the dining hall all day and can answer questions about solo lessons, advanced subjects, electives, music festival and study trips.
