Drawing & Watercolour Retreat at Dallund Castle - 9-11 October 2026

A three-day drawing and watercolour retreat at Dallund Slot, Dallundvej 63, 5471 Søndersø, 9-11 October 2026.

The retreat focuses on watercolour and drawing techniques, with sketchbooks filled with motifs from nature, the castle's historic architecture, and modern design. The inner critic is silenced, and the course welcomes all levels - the instructor works with her own style and method, so the material is fresh regardless of experience. The studio is open 24 hours for those who want to draw extra.

Beyond the creative work, there is time for long walks, a bonfire shelter, lake swimming, sauna, or simply a nap in the sun and a good book in a Danish designer armchair by the fireplace. The price covers a single or double room including meals, water, coffee and tea. Beer, water and house wine are purchased separately via MobilePay. Transport to Dallund and course materials are not included.

Materials to bring: an A5 or A4 sketchbook (e.g. Royal Talens, Moleskine or Seawhite), an A4 block of watercolour paper, a small palette with 6-12 half pans of watercolour paints, a black waterproof pen (e.g. Uni-ball Eye fine pen or Uni Pin fine Line 0.7), a watercolour brush size 10 or 12, and a kitchen roll. Room allocation is on a first-come, first-served basis: those who book earliest get the best rooms - from bridal suite to single room. If you are sharing a room, an email with names and order number should be sent to kontakt@lehmannstegnekurser.dk. Registration is binding. Cancellation or date change must be made at least 30 days before the course starts and incurs a fee of 25% of the full course price.
