Anders Clemens Øien is a Norwegian classical guitarist born in Oslo in 1976, who studied at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and later in Barcelona, graduating with distinction. In 2003 he became the first Scandinavian to win the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition in Granada, launching his international solo career. He performs regularly at festivals across Norway, South Korea, France, Finland and Spain, has appeared as soloist with orchestras including the Oslo Philharmonic and the Stavanger Symphony, and teaches at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. He has released six albums on the Nordic Sound label.
