Annisette (born Annisette Hansen, 29 August 1948 in Copenhagen) is a Danish singer best known as the frontwoman of The Savage Rose, a band she has led since its formation in 1967. Her voice - raw and soulful in the early years, increasingly shamanistic in its intensity over time - made her one of the defining figures of Danish rock. After the sudden death of her husband and the band's chief composer Thomas Koppel in 2006, she took over songwriting duties and has kept the band active ever since.
The Savage Rose announced two jubilee concerts with Copenhagen Phil on March 5 and 7, 2027 in the Conservatory Concert Hall, where the band's songs are performed in specially written symphonic arrangements.
