🎤 Ari Hoenig

About

Ari Hoenig is an American jazz drummer and bandleader, known for a melodic approach in which he treats the drum kit almost like a melody instrument, even changing pitch by pressing on the drumheads. He has worked with Jean-Michel Pilc and Kenny Barron, among others, and leads his own groups. He is based in New York and tours Europe often.
