Aries Spears is an American stand-up comedian, impressionist, and actor, born in Chicago in 1975 and raised in New Jersey. He is best known for his eight-season run on Fox's sketch series MADtv (1997-2005), where he appeared in 198 episodes - second only to Michael McDonald among the show's cast members. His spot-on celebrity impressions, covering figures from Jay-Z to Denzel Washington, remain his calling card, and he has since stayed active through stand-up tours, film work, and the Spears & Steinberg podcast.
Aries Spears is conducting an autumn European tour in 2026, which includes a show at Bremen Teater in Copenhagen on October 2.
Aries Spears' official website confirms that the autumn European tour in 2026 is a follow-up to a successful spring tour, where additional shows were added in several cities.
In February 2026, Aries Spears performed two sold-out shows at Miami Improv and confirmed that his focus in 2026 remains unchanged.
Aries Spears is the host of the podcast Spears & Steinberg, which he runs alongside his stand-up career.
