Flemming "Bamse" Jørgensen (1947-2011) was a Danish pop singer, songwriter and actor from Aarhus, best known as the frontman of Bamses Venner, which he founded in 1973. Hits such as "Vimmersvej" and "Tænker altid på dig" - winner of the Danish Melodi Grand Prix in 1980 - made him one of the most beloved figures in Danish popular music. Over more than 35 years he sold over 3.5 million albums, and in 1986 he received a Robert Award for best male supporting actor. He died of a cardiac arrest on New Year's Day 2011.
