PRiMi: Barefoot Records - 20th Anniversary Celebration!
Barefoot Records celebrates 20 years as one of Europe's leading platforms for modern jazz and improvised music with an evening featuring collective members in changing constellations.
Barefoot Records is a musician-run collective and record label founded in Copenhagen in 2006, rooted in Scandinavian avant-garde and improvised music. Its members come from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland and Ireland, and together they have released more than 90 albums over two decades. The label organises its own annual mini-festival within the Copenhagen Jazz Festival and has been called "one of the most interesting new labels in Danish jazz" by All About Jazz.
Barefoot Records co-curates the new pop-up venue Feast For The Ears under Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026 at Råhuset in Vesterbro, July 6-11.
Barefoot Records removed its entire catalog from Spotify after a prolonged period of dissatisfaction with the platform's terms.
Barefoot Records released the compilation Barefoot Records Compilation 2009-2026, which collects one track from each release since 2009.
Under Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2024, Barefoot Records presented for the second year in a row a mini-festival at Huset KBH with concerts combined with avant-garde short films.
