About

Basement are an English rock band from Ipswich, formed in 2009 and known for blending emo, post-hardcore and soft grunge. The lineup comprises brothers Andrew and James Fisher alongside Alex Henery, Ronan Crix and Duncan Stewart, and the band broke through with albums such as "Colourmeinkindness" (2012) and "Promise Everything" (2016). After a hiatus the group re-emerged in earnest around 2023 when the song "Covet" went viral on TikTok, and in May 2026 they released their fifth studio album, "Wired", through Run For Cover Records.
