Bear McCreary (born 1979) is an American composer based in Los Angeles whose work spans television, film and video games. He rose to prominence with his score for Battlestar Galactica and has since composed for The Walking Dead, Outlander, Foundation and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, as well as the God of War game series. A three-time Emmy winner and two-time BAFTA Games Award winner, he is known for weaving orchestral writing together with folk, rock and electronic textures.
McCreary releases the follow-up album The Singularity: Ekleipsis in 2026 with guests such as Slash, Patrick Stump and Gojira's Joseph Duplantier.
McCreary announces a 10-city European summer tour with stops in Copenhagen (Pumpehuset, August 2) and Wacken Open Air, among others.
The Singularity is released in Dolby Atmos format on March 20, 2026 on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer and TIDAL.
McCreary played sold-out shows in Europe on his Themes & Variations tour in 2025.
