
Visens Venner Brønshøj: Christmas from the Top of Pop
Danish pop stars perform Christmas songs at Visens Venner Brønshøj, with both contemporary and traditional holiday numbers hosted by Misse Bergstedt.
Birthe Kjær, born 1 September 1948 in Aarhus, broke through in 1968 when her debut single "Arrivederci Franz" went straight to number one on the Danish chart Dansktoppen. Over a career spanning more than five decades she has released around 40 albums, with hits like "Pas på den knaldrøde gummibåd" and "Sommer og sol" becoming Danish pop classics. In 1989 she represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne with "Vi maler byen rød", finishing third, and in January 2024 she was appointed a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog.

On 18 March 2024, Birthe Kjær had an audience with King Frederik at Christiansborg Palace to thank him for the order of knighthood, which Queen Margrethe awarded her in January.
In January 2024, Birthe Kjær received the order of knighthood and thus became a Knight of the Order of Dannebrog - the first Danish top singer ever.
In 2022, Birthe Kjær released the Christmas album Juletid.
